Grand Hôtel du Lion d'Or
One of the best restaurants in Loire Valley situated in a private Renaissance Mansion built in the XVl century by a friend of King François Premier. It is during the XlX th century that 3 generations of ‘Maître d’Hotel’ from Paris change the name to ‘Grand Hotel’. Since 1961 one family has taken over to perpetuate the traditional warm welcome to this place, today the family is represented by Marie-Christine, Helene and Didier Clément. The hotel figures on the member lists of’ ‘Relais et Chateaux’ as well as ‘Les Grandes Tables du Monde’
From his ‘motionless journey’, his readings, his encounters and his strolls accross ‘La Sologne’, Didier Clement creates subtle and delicious compositions. Being at the origin of the rediscovery of ancient varieties, and forgotten spices, pioneer of ‘la cuisine d’auteur’, his cuisine enchants you with subtlety and alliance of expressed tastes, you are sur to spend delicious moments.
According to the magazine ‘Vins de France’, the restaurant offers the best wine list of the Loire region, highlighting winemakers like Didier Dagueneau or Yannik Amirault. A special attention is also given to wines from Languedoc-Roussillon chosen among the best winemakers of the area, to celebrate the harmony with the autumn game; Sologne being a magnificent (great) hunting region
L'Hostellerie de Plaisance
L’Hostellerie de Plaisance offers an exceptionnal experience. It is situated on the right bank of the Garonne river, in the center of the Medieval and historic village of St. Emilion.
The hotel offers 14 rooms and 3 modern suites designed by Alberto Pinto. Each room is designed to allow you to enjoy a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Its just as if you were going backwards in time, you will enjoy a walk along the streets of St. Emilion.
The hotel staff succeeds in creating a refined and welcoming experience in a place rich in historical heritage. You will notice some designe elements such as stone and wood reflecting the natural colours of the St. Emilion region. The panoramic terrace offers a breath-taking view on the vineyards and the french country-side.
La Table de Plaisance provides gastronomic delights of a restaurant rated 2* in the Michelin guide. Chef Roland Kervarrec offers a unique and creative cuisine associated with a list of exceptionnal french wines including a selection of local Premiers Crus Classes A and B Roland Kervarrec offers his many talents to serving L’Hostellerie de Plaisance: passion in his work along with his experience of the best ‘maisons’, working as close as possible to local and seasonal products, a great delicacy in his creations and a real sense of shared pleasures. He had formerly obtained 2 Michelin Stars at ‘La Chèvre d’Or’ in Eze.
La Chèvre d'Or
La Chèvre d’or is a ‘Diva’, unique and beyond time, a jewel shining above the Mediterranean.
In 1953, Robert Wolf is seduced by ‘Le Château de la Chèvre d’Or’ and transforms it into a restaurant.
It is said that, advised by Walt Disney, he bought village house which he turnes into hotel rooms. the hotel then became one of the 6 milestone of the ‘Route du Bonheur’ the origin of the Relais & Châteaux association.
The following owners kept increasing the number of rooms throughout the medieval village to reach, 40 rooms and suites today.
Chef Arnaud Faye joined the Château La Chèvre d’Or summer of 2016 to take over the mangement of the hotel kitchen and more specifically that of the Gastronomic 2* restaurant ‘La Chèvre d’Or’.
He had formerly earned 2 Michelin stars at the ‘Auberge du Jeu de Paume’ in Chantilly and as executive Chef at the’ Hôtel Ritz’ and ‘ Mandarin Oriental’ in Paris.
In the gastronomic restaurant Arnaud Faye celebrates the authentic aspect of an exceptional ‘terroir’ extending from the rocky Mercantour foothills to the intense Mediterranean blue. His menu is inspired by these contrasts and magnifies the products of the Riviera as well as those from the inlands.

His cooking testifies to his eternal passion for his native region. He likes to use the emblematic Bresse poultry of which, since 1986, he is the Chairman of the Interprofessional Committee as a volunteer, to revisit the “Crêpes Vonnassiennes de sa Grand-mère” …
The restaurant cellar is one of the best restaurant cellars in the world with more than 140000 bottles and more than 4000 different labels. A delight to visit on request. Since 2000 Fabrice SOMMIER is the establishment’s head sommelier. Best French sommelier in 2007, Master of Port in 2010, he travels the vineyards in search of excellence with these words of Georges BLANC “without passion, no elevation” in mind.
The hotel also has an incredible SPA, a unique place: 1500 m² including a beautiful heated and fun pool (jets, hydromassage …), jacuzzi, Turkish bath, fitness room, relaxation area and four cabins to receive care signed DECLÉOR & CARITA ®.
It is a bright space widely open on a south facing park of greenery, water, Mediterranean plants and flowers.
